Dedicated ELD from Coretex self-certified

Updated Sep 25, 2017

New Zealand-headquartered Coretex has certified its electronic logging device solution with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, the company says, making the Coretex ELD a viable option for owner-operators evaluating the ELD market to comply with the ELD rule. The compliance deadline for those not already running an e-log program for hours of service records of duty status remains Dec. 18, 2017.

The Coretex ELD is “compatible with all vehicle types and has been written from the ground up by Coretex engineers,” the company says. The platform uses the company’s existing range of in-vehicle hardware for active fleet management and is tightly integrated into both Coretex 360, the company’s feature-rich fleet management system and Coretex DRIVE, its Android-based in-cab system, which operates in-cab via dedicated tablet (pictured). The Coretex ELD is “compatible with all vehicle types and has been written from the ground up by Coretex engineers,” the company says. The Coretex ELD incorporates a range of features, including support for all U.S. and Canadian driver rule-sets; support for team, exempt and shorthaul
drivers; and support for both permanent and temporary vehicle installations. Drivers using Coretex can view availability in multiple rule-sets and check availability prior to logging in to the system through Coretex DRIVE. The program includes an interactive graph and multi-edit feature for easy log editing.

For supervisors and back office staff, it incorporates a full suite of ELD compliance reports and an easy to use dashboard for easy tracking and management of compliance obligations. ELD capability is included as an integrated feature within Coretex’s In-cab and Compliance packages. In addition to the ELD, In-cab solutions incorporate a broad range of functionality such as driver behavior monitoring, integrated cameras and job workflow.
