Teletrac Navman announced its Director ELD platform is now self-certified and listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s electronic logging device registry under the name of its in-cab ELD component, the Teletrac Navman Drive unit. FMCSA’s ELD mandate requires carriers to utilize a device self-certified and listed on its registry no later than December 16, 2019. Compliance with the mandate can be achieved by utilizing a currently offered AOBRD logging device not on the registry by a date prior to the December 18 enforcement deadline later this year.
Director ELD expands upon the company’s ELD guarantee, promising Director HOS customers no-cost firmware and software updates needed for any subsequent compliance changes.

Teletrac Navman Drive is an easy-to-use suite of applications integrated into the in-cab Garmin commercial truck tablet. Drivers can proactively stay ahead of driving hours and breaks through audible alerts and post-trip feedback reports, the company says. Teletrac Navman Drive also includes advanced in-vehicle navigation with truck routing, two-way messaging and electronic Driver-Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs).
Director HOS offers a single, all-encompassing view of up-to-the-minute HOS statuses for fleet managers, including a breadth of telematics capabilities including vehicle analytics, driver behavior monitoring, enhanced geofencing, custom reporting and dashboards, as well as robust third party integrations to help carriers reduce operational expenses.
