Drivewyze bypass points added along major Interstates in Idaho

Lewiston, Gensee, Moscow mile marker sign and HWY 95 sign by long stretch of road

The Idaho Transportation Department has added Drivewyze bypass service to five ports of entry on U.S. Interstates 15 and 90 and U.S. Highway 95, bringing the state’s total to seven Drivewyze bypass locations.

The state uses the Drivewyze platform to screen trucks for safety history, regulatory compliance and weight. Weight data is transmitted through integration with state-owned weigh-in-motion (WIM) sensors installed in the roadways upstream from each service site.

Drivers with the Drivewyze PreClear service on their smartphones, tablets or electronic logging devices receive bypass at:

  • Huetter EB on I-90, about 4 miles east of the Idaho/Washington border near Coeur d’Alene
  • Inkom NB and SB on I-15, about 14 miles southwest of Pocatello and 60 miles north of the Idaho/Utah border
  • Lewiston NB and SB on US-95, about 4 miles east of the Idaho/Washington border
