Roehl driver records 4 million accident-free miles
Thirty-year Roehl driver John Moeller recently surpassed 4 million accident-free miles. Moeller has been with Roehl since 1979, and in May 2009 he made the company’s first Alaskan delivery.
Averitt Express starts intermodal service plan

Ohio Trucking Association names Dennis Day Driver of the Month
DisTech Inc. driver Dennis Day, a Newberry, Ohio, resident, was named the Ohio Trucking Association’s May Driver of the Month at OTA’s annual Safety Awards Banquet in April. Day has been a truck driver for more than 30 years, racking up almost 1.5 million accident-free miles.
Con-way Driver hits 2-million-mile mark
Marshall Fulbright, a driver sales representative for Con-way Freight, recently reached two million accident-free miles. The Taylorsville, N.C., resident has driven for Con-way since 1987.
WEL driver’s 4-million-mile perfect record
WEL Companies driver Jim Pavlek of Phillips, Wis., has never been in an accident or received a ticket in his 40 years of driving a truck. Pavlek began driving with his father at age 16. More than 4 million miles later, he is still accident- and ticket-free.
Builders Transportation Company earns Alcoa Tier 1 award
Flatbed carrier Builders Transportation Company recently received one of Alcoa Inc.’s annual Tier 1 Core Truckload Carrier Awards, which recognize exemplary service to Alcoa. This was the company’s first Alcoa award, honoring Builders Transportation for exception flatbed service.
