Any of you drivers who make an effort to stay healthy while on the road know that it’s tough — really tough. And when it comes to eating, you have to plan, plan, plan. This next recipe requires planning, but it’s so delicious that it’s worth it. If you can pack the ingredients for the road, great. But if you need to find these things in a truckstop, just make sure you keep tabs on which ones offer fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.

Fruit smoothie
1 cup of berries (frozen or fresh, whatever you can get your hands on)
1/2 banana
1 single-serving container of low-fat yogurt (can be any flavor you can find)
1/4 cup of ice

Stuff a blender (must have an adapter if your blender doesn’t fit the required voltage) with all the ingredients, and blend until smooth! This is a particularly refreshing treat after getting in a good walk/run around the truckstop. If you don’t already have a blender, try this one: Single-serve blender
