Fuel card provider Comdata bought for $3.45B

Fleet, virtual card and gift card payment system service Comdata has been sold to FleetCor Technologies from Ceridian LLC for $3.45 billion. The deal is expected to close in December.

FleetCor also provides fuel cards and workforce payment products to businesses.

Comdata has about 1,300 employees, 20,000 customers and makes about $54 billion in payments each year.
