Gaston, S.C.-based G&P Trucking Co. will deliver wreaths to veterans’ graves as part of the national Wreaths Across America outreach.
G&P driver Danny Burgess, a Navy veteran, will transport the wreaths in South Carolina cemeteries for the second consecutive year.
The carrier is honored to be part of the project, said Clifton Parker, G&P Trucking president and general manager. “It’s just a small way that we can give something back for all those veterans who have helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy today,” he said.
Wreaths Across America is a project from Worchester Wreath Co., based in Harrington, Maine, that places wreaths on veterans’ graves across the United States and in some locations overseas.
The wreaths are scheduled to be delivered to five locations on Dec. 8-9.
