Hebe to address truck conference

Industry veteran Jim Hebe will talk about challenges facing OEMs, suppliers, dealers and fleets on Thursday, Aug. 25, during the second annual Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference at the Dallas Convention Center. Hebe will begin at 8 a.m.

Hebe began his career with Navistar in 1971 and rejoined the truck group of Navistar International as executive vice president, North American sales operations in 2008. In his current role, he has responsibility for North American sales and marketing, dealer operations and central sales administration.

This year’s Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference, Aug. 24-25, will include a keynote address by Karl Rove, former deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to President George W. Bush. Industry experts will address some of trucking’s most critical issues, including outlook for freight, future trucks, fleet prospects and an update on regulatory and legislative topics.

Presented by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and Randall-Reilly Business Media and Information, the CVOC will be held prior to the opening day of the Great American Trucking Show, which runs Aug. 25-27. Registration begins at 11 a.m., Aug. 24, followed by a networking lunch. A networking reception will be held immediately following the program. The conference ends at noon on Aug. 25 when GATS opens.
