I-40 paving in Ariz.

The Arizona DOT will begin a project Aug. 6 to repave a 16-mile segment of Interstate 40 between Williams and Ash Fork. The project will include new pavement, guardrail replacement, pavement markings and some bridge work. Work will be done in both directions on I-40. Crews will begin on the eastbound lanes; for the next few weeks, expect single-lane restrictions through the work zone. The project is scheduled to be completed by spring 2014.
