International Truck and Engine Corp. announced the launch of a new medium-duty tractor engineered with city and regional delivery service in mind.
The International 4400 4Ă—2 Mid Cab is built with proprietary diesel engines. The International DT466 engines with 215-horsepower and 620 pounds-feet torque ratings are standard, but customers also can select International DT466 engines with ratings up to 250 hp or International DT530 engines with ratings up to 300 hp.
“The International 4400 Mid Cab tractor represents the logical extension of our medium-duty product line into urban and regional applications that desire economical diesel power and productivity delivered in a durable and serviceable on-highway tractor,” said David Johanneson, group vice president and general manager of International’s Medium Vehicle Center.
International expects full production of the new model by July 14.
