Another of the many truckers’ rigs I took a closer look at during the Guilty by Association Truck Show in late September, Jim and Carol Steffey’s 2016 Kenworth W900L stood out in part for the top-bottom two-tone paint with minimal horizontal striping between — and the overall clean, simplified look on offer.

Not too shabby, right?

The team-driving pair, based in Frederickburg, Pa., haul for Lanita Specialized out of Mt. Aetna, nearby between Harrisburg and Allentown along I-78. As they explain in the brief video above, with a variety of angles on the exterior of the unit, the company owner involved the drivers in spec’ing this one with a choice of sleeper — this one’s the 86-inch studio sleeper option with couch/bed and more — down to the paint color and design.

Jim’s been with Lanita for about five years, he says, Carol having joined him around two years into it after a nursing career.

Catch angles on the flip bumper, 2011 Mac step deck and curtainside kit (hauling all manner of heavy equipment and other freight) and more in the video up top and slider gallery below.
