Koch Trucking boosts OTR driver pay

Stan Koch and Sons Trucking (No. 105 on the CCJ Top 250) has announced a pay range increase for its over-the-road drivers.

Qualified drivers with at least one year of driving experience and a hazmat endorsement will now earn at least 41 cents-per-mile, and drivers with at least five years of experience and a hazmat endorsement will earn at least 45 cents-per-mile.

In addition to the pay increase, the company’s Orientation Bonus Payout is also increasing. Depending on the fleet within Koch, bonuses will range from $3,000 to $7,000. Drivers will receive four installments of the bonus during their first year with the company with the first coming upon completion of their first dispatch. The other three payments will be made at the end of the driver’s third, sixth and 12th month with the company.

Koch also has a “Guaranteed Pay” program that ensures new drivers earn a minimum of $800 each week for their first six weeks.
