At this beginning of a long weekend for many Americans (I’ll be working a bit this coming Monday, and tonight — more on that below — but yeah, it’s a long one more or less for me too…), I’m certain many of you are still out there getting it done. For those of you who won’t make it home for local festivities Tuesday, enjoy the celebration wherever you are, and here’s a heartfelt shout-out from me and, I know, the rest of the crew here. Thanks for what you do.
And: For any of you in Middle Tennessee today, I’ll be out at the Bandit Big Rig race series this evening in Springfield at the Highland Rim quarter-mile track. Ought to be a hoot to see the big rigs in action out there. Haven’t been to the short track before, but I’ll say I’m certainly looking forward to the visit. See you there? For those of you far afield from the action, the series promoters have been streaming the races live in a broadcast to their Facebook page. Catch the race action starting around 6 p.m. Central likely via this link.
And if you missed it, James Jaillet’s video run through the series after the Montgomery event a few weeks back:
Affected tractors are equipped with an automated Eaton UltraShift Plus or Eaton Advantage Transmission with right hand stalk shifter. In the affected trucks, the display on the instrument panel can indicate “N” when the shifter is set into “D” or “R,” causing the truck not to move.
