To launch the Great American Trucking Show (GATS) yesterday, August 24, Everhart Transportation driver and songwriter Tony Justice did an 11 a.m. set prior to the exhibit floor open. He opened it with this track (see video above), “Live, Laugh, Love and Dance,” which regular readers will recall he penned with his wife, Misty, for those who’ve been through and/or suffer from depression in their lives, with hopes that it might help someone pull through. It might well be my favorite song on the record, for what its worth. …

The track is one of several on Justice’s new “Stars, Stripes and White Lines” record. Friday, he was set to host and perform a short set at 3 p.m. as part of the Overdrive/Red Eye Radio Trucker Talent Search on the “Truckers News” stage in the GATS exhibit hall, as well as headline the GATS concert at Eddie Deen’s Ranch.
