Truck drivers will once again have a free place to park their rigs when attending the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas this summer.

GATS will be held Aug. 22-24 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Like in previous years, the TA-Petro Truck Parking Community will be located at the Cotton Bowl’s Fair Park.

There will be free shuttles throughout the show that run between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22; from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24; and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 25.

Some amenities that will be offered at the truck parking lot include a shower trailer and basic truck maintenance services provided by TA-Petro; live music by Bill Weaver, Brad James, Taylor Barker, and the Stone Creek Four; food provided by the Flaming Grill Barbecue Truck; and more.

Additionally, there will be an auction presented by Life from the Passenger’s Seat with proceeds benefiting the St. Christopher Truckers Fund. Life from the Passenger’s Seat is a Facebook page run by Melanie Walker, the fiancé of Spartan Direct driver Scott Wagner, in which she shares trucking information and photos to the page’s followers. St. Christopher’s Fund helps truck drivers and their families when an illness or injury occurs that causes them to be out of work.

Free registration for GATS is available online here.
