Magellan displayed its GPS for truckers, in cooperation with TravelCenters of America, at The Great American Trucking Show in Dallas, Texas, Aug. 22.
The RoadMate Commercial 9261T-LM GPS has a 7-inch display and features truck-specific route, truck speed limits, truck stops and truck points of interest. It also can be used for hands-free talking on cellphones with Bluetooth technology.
The Magellan RoadMate Commercial 5190T-LM and 5190 have 5-inch touch screens and built-in speakers that can reach 93dB for ease of use, the company says. Also compatible with Bluetooth for hands-free cellphone use, the 5190 comes with free lifetime traffic alerts and map updates.
Magellan also announced at GATS the new Fleet Management Solution, which features interactive navigation and is a two-way mobile information delivery system.
The Magellan RoadMate Commercial 9261T-LM GPS is available for $379.99 exclusively from TA/Petro locations, and developers and system integrators can download the fleet management protocol tool kit at http://www.magellangps.com/FMS.
