Charles Timbrook's 1999 Black Out Freightliner, Front view in shop

It’s been quite a while since we checked in with West Virginia-based independent owner-operator Charles Timbrook’s “Black Out” military-tribute 1999 Freightliner Classic. Two seasons’ worth of time, in fact. And though the rig’s not going to be out at the Wildwood show in Florida, you can expect it at regional shows fairly soon — next year at Mid-America for sure, he says.

Deckplate work 4“Almost,” Timbrook noted yesterday. “Two weeks and she’ll be done.”

Since that last November check-in deckplate and back-of-cab detail paint work, which you can see here, has been completed, likewise the addition of a custom 22-inch bumper, custom fifth-wheel cover and 12-horn system.

Take a visual run through it all in the gallery below. And for more pictures of the full unit as well as the story behind it and Timbrook himself, visit this post to the blog from November.
