Minnesota truckers focus on distracted driving

The Minnesota Trucking Association announced its yearlong effort to provide information and training to its members and their drivers to improve road safety.

The “Keep Both Hands on the Wheel” campaign will focus on reducing distracted driving by asking truckers, their employers, contractors and the public to follow safe driving habits.

MTA says the campaign — which will include Web-based programs, training and other print and face-to-face information sharing about the dangers of distracted driving — is an opportunity for the Minnesota trucking industry to share how it is making Minnesota roads safer and to ask other motorists to join it.
