Missouri enforcement blitz places four drivers, five trucks out of service

An enforcement blitz conducted on I-44 in Missouri earlier this month resulted in 82 commercial vehicle inspections with four drivers and five vehicles being placed out of service.

The three-day operation held Jan. 9-11 took place on a stretch of I-44 that the Missouri State Highway Patrol says has a history of criminal activity, as well as a high rate of CMV violations.

In total, MSHP stopped 115 trucks and 43 passenger vehicles during the enforcement blitz. Troopers also issued a total of 192 warnings for various offenses during the operation.

The blitz was part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP).
