More than 850 trucks and trailers previously owned by Graebel Van Lines, which shut down its operations in March, will be auctioned off at Ritchie Bros. unreserved public auctions this year without minimum bids.

Ritchie Bros. has the full inventory of Graebel Van Lines equipment listed in its online inventory. The trucks and trailers will be sold at 12 auctions throughout the summer. One auction was held last week in Chicago. The remaining auction sites are:

  • Denver, Colo. on June 1
  • North East, Md. on June 6
  • Sacramento, Calif. on June 6
  • Atlanta, Ga. on June 13
  • Columbus, Ohio on June 15
  • Phoenix, Ariz. on June 20
  • Houston, Texas on June 21-22
  • Nashville, Tenn. on June 22
  • Kansas City, Mo. on June 23
  • Minneapolis, Minn. on June 28
  • St. Louis, Mo. on June 29
  • North Franklin, Conn. on July 14

“This is a unique opportunity — we don’t often see this many moving trucks and trailers coming to market at once, especially from a company as well-known as Graebel [Van Lines],” said Chris Holmberg, sales director for Ritchie Bros. “To help interested buyers across the country, we have sent the assets to various locations across the country.”

Editor’s note: Two references to Graebel Van Lines in the original story inaccurately referred to the company as simply “Graebel.” A separate business, Graebel Companies, sold Graebel Van Lines in 2015. Corrections were made to provide clarity between the two companies.
