Mother’s Day Convoy to benefit Make-A-Wish for 28th year

The Mother’s Day Convoy in Lancaster, Pa., drew nearly 600 trucks in 2016, a world record for the longest truck convoy. This year’s event falls on Sunday, May 14.

The 28th annual Mother’s Day Convoy in Lancaster, Pa., will take place Sunday, May 14. The event set a world record last year for largest truck convoy.

This year’s convoy assembles at the Burle Business Park in Lancaster, Pa., and events get started at 8:30 a.m. Plans call for the convoy to depart the business park at 1:30 p.m., travel to Ephrata, Pa., and return.

In 2016, a total of 590 trucks participated in the convoy, which raises money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Philadelphia. Last year’s event raised more than $350,000 for the organization.
