The Florida Department of Transportation is asking for feedback from truck drivers on the state of truck parking in the state. FDOT is asking drivers familiar with truck parking in the state to complete this survey by Friday, Oct. 18.

The survey will be used to validate the results of a study conducted by FDOT, as well as to help find solutions to the parking issues in the state. A report detailing the findings of FDOT’s study can be seen here.

Love’s opens two new locations, including company’s 500th
Love’s Travel Stops announced this week it has opened new locations in Edon, Ohio, and St. Clair, Michigan, adding a total of 215 parking spaces to the company’s network. The new stores mark the company’s 499th and 500th locations across the country.

“Opening our 499th store in St. Clair, Michigan, and our 500th store in Edon, Ohio, is a huge milestone for Love’s,” said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love’s. “These two locations will become important parts of our story. When we opened our first store in 1964, we couldn’t have imagined how the company would grow, and we wouldn’t be here today without our loyal customers and employees.”

The Edon, Ohio, store, located on State Route 49, offers drivers 111 truck parking spaces, an Arby’s restaurant, nine diesel lanes, seven showers, a Speedco, laundry facilities and more.

The St. Clair, Michigan, location sits off of I-94 and offers McDonald’s and Subway restaurants, 104 truck parking spaces, nine diesel lanes, seven showers, a Speedco, laundry facilities and more.
