Pilot Flying J opens new California location

Pilot Flying J recently opened a new location in Lathrop, Calif., along Interstate 5.

The new store, located at exit 465 (Roth Road), features nine diesel lanes, PJ Fresh Pizza and Cinnabon restaurants, Western Union services and laundry facilities.

The Lathrop location is the company’s 21st in California and third in San Joaquin County.

After the truck was retired about three years ago, owner Joel Anker had it rebuilt into a show truck. The hard work paid off, with a fifth-place finish in the Limited Mileage -- Bobtail with Miles class at MATS in March.
