I am nominating Polly for this because I think this describes her to a T! I have known her for 36 years, and she has driven truck for 30 years. She’s been married to the same man for almost 40 years! Her husband is the one that taught her to drive. She started in a ’76 Mack 2-stick hauling a dump bucket. They have worked together ever since! I have seen them work together on trucks side by side for many years. True love! She has driven trucks from a single axle to tractor trailers. She currently owns her own six-axle straight truck hauling asphalt. The guys on the crew love having her on the job. She takes her job very seriously. She may not run over the road but she puts in a lot of hours! Start time from 3 in the morning till the job is done! Works from April to end of November. She and her husband take the winters off and enjoy each other’s company. They do winter maintenance on her truck together. They built their house together. It took two years after driving truck all day! I have seen them go through hard times and all it did was make them stronger. With all that said I am very proud to call them Mom and Dad. I would not be who I am today if it wasn’t for them. That’s why I am nominating her for most beautiful trucker of the year! Thank you!
