Minimizer’s new polished chrome poly fender requires no paint and resists aging, the company says. The fender is available via the maker’s international distribution network. The company makes products for all makes and models of on- and off-highway trucks.
Bridgestone has introduced two new truck tires and a wide-based trailer tire. The M770 open-shoulder drive-axle radius model has a groove-and-block shape to resist lug base cracking and tearing and offers platforms to prevent damage from stones. The M799 on/off-highway mixed-service radial has an all-steel casing and an extra-deep cap and base tread. The Greatec R125A wide-based trailer radial has a belt system designed to maintain casing shape and has Equalizer Rib structure and Defense Groove design.
The USS-120A aerodynamic side skirt can move inward and outward due to its galvanized high tensile steel braces. Use of the U.S. EPA SmartWay certified skirt can result in up to 5-percent fuel savings. The product can be factory-installed on new Utility trailers or as a retrofit for existing trailers. Also, the Adjustable Load Securement System on both the 4000A Tautliner curtain-sided trailer and Conestoga 2 is now available.

Kits to change integrated and non-integrated sleeper trucks into daycab trucks come with installation hardware, instructions and upholstery matching the original equipment maker’s. Kits can also be installed at Daycab Co.’s facility near Knoxville, Tenn. All bracing and windows are factory-installed. Air ride brackets are available for most models.
The stud cleaning tool cleans 10 studs in three minutes or less, the maker says, and the tool is designed to fit the most popular 10-hole hub piloted wheel.
The Pneuscan Pro and Pneuscan Dat use laser triangulation technology to read and analyze tread depth and wear patterns on truck tires. The Pneuscan sensors are installed in or on the ground for drive-over use.
Affected tractors are equipped with an automated Eaton UltraShift Plus or Eaton Advantage Transmission with right hand stalk shifter. In the affected trucks, the display on the instrument panel can indicate “N” when the shifter is set into “D” or “R,” causing the truck not to move.
The new “health-based requirements” will need to be met before a driver is allowed to register his or her truck through the Department of Motor Vehicles, CARB says. For older vehicles, CARB says they must be either replaced with a 2011 or newer vehicle or repowered with a 2010 or newer engine.
