Progressive expands coverage

Progressive Insurance has expanded its commercial auto product, including its truck cargo coverage, which now includes owned goods and an increased coverage limit of up to $250 thousand. It’s also added refrigeration breakdown coverage.  Also new are a customer loyalty program that offers better benefits, accident forgiveness, specialized claims service and minor violation forgiveness. Package highlights also include pet injury coverage (up to $1,000 for pets injured while riding), financed value coverage and temporary substitute auto coverage for rentals.

The company has also launched new programs aimed at gas and oil well drilling, wholesale route distributors and for-hire debris and garbage removal.

Progressive’s new package also has primary liability limits of $1.5 and $2 million and will allow matching limits on uninsured motorists and any non-owned coverages.
