I-10 Eastbound in Phoenix to close this weekend for construction project
The interstate will be closed between 9 p.m. Friday, March 22, and 8 p.m. Saturday, March 23, between 67th and 51st avenues. The closure will allow crews to remove a 90-foot-long steel beam above I-10 that temporarily supported the future HOV flyover bridge on the South Mountain Freeway interchange.

Overnight lane restrictions are planned for I-17 in Phoenix on Thursday and Friday night, while overnight lane restrictions are planned for I-10 in Tucson between Saturday, Jan. 12, and Saturday, Jan. 19. The New York State Thruway will also briefly close Saturday morning at the Tappan Zee Bridge.

Spot rates rose slightly in final week of the new year
Load posts on the spot truckload freight market declined 21 percent during the week ending Dec. 29, not an unusual figure when you compare a holiday-shortened workweek to a full one. But truck posts were down farther, 47 percent, and that tight capacity helped keep rates firm.

Section of I-10 to close in Phoenix this weekend
Westbound I-10 will be closed between 43rd and 67th avenues from 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 5. The on-ramps at 27th and 35th avenues will also be closed, in addition to the northbound I-17 ramp connecting to westbound I-10.

Four western states seek funding for truck parking information system
The I-10 Corridor Coalition, made up of departments of transportation from Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, is seeking a $13.7 million grant through the FHWA to develop a system that would inform truckers about available parking at rest areas through signs along the corridor.
