Comment period for FMCSA pilot program for under-21 interstate truckers ends next week
Drivers and interested parties can now comment on the proposal through Aug. 14. The proposal would expand the current under-21 program for military-trained drivers to drivers under the age of 21 that were not trained to drive trucks in the military.

Under-21 interstate pilot program for military vets enters next phase
FMCSA is now accepting applications from drivers and carriers to participate in the pilot program. As part of the pilot, FMCSA will compare the safety records of the under-21 drivers in the program to a control group of drivers ages 21-24 with CDLs and comparable training and experience driving trucks.
