Carrier registration for 2018 fiscal year delayed indefinitely pending FMCSA notice
Independent owner-operators will not be able to complete the carrier registration process for the 2018 fiscal year âuntil further notice,â the UCR Board announced Friday. The Board also has told states to suspend enforcement of 2018 registration compliance until 90 days after a coming FMCSA notice.

NY to pay owner-operators $44 million in settlement over out-of-state fees
The stateâs Supreme Court agreed earlier this year with OOIDAâs challenge that the registration and decal taxes in the state were unconstitutional and discriminatory against out-of-state truckers who drive mostly in other states. New York will soon refund truckers for the tax.
