DAT, TransVix partner to offer rate futures for spot market
The Trucking Futures Exchange will allow carriers, shippers and brokers to buy and sell rates futures, leveraging DAT’s data on lanes and pricing. TransVix says it wants to address volatility in spot market rates and capacity, where it says spot rates can swing by as much as 40 percent in a week on some lanes.
