Trail King introduced a prototype All-Aluminum Center Frame Step Deck trailer Friday at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky.
The new TK80AACS features superior corrosion resistance, all-aluminum framing, armor-coated landing gear and zinc-plated steel components as standards, the company says.
The AACS is lightweight yet durable, with a low deck height designed to accommodate taller payloads with multiple cargo load configurations, said Rick Farris, vice president of sales and marketing.
“This is a forward-thinking design that sets a new standard for long-lasting dependable flatbeds,” Farris said. “It’s engineered to enhance performance and operating efficiencies, and is well suited for a very wide range of cargo applications,” he said.
The AACS is expected to go into production this year.
The company is also displaying at the show its Hydraulic Sliding Axle, featuring a new design with the first completely retracted cylinder in the transport mode.
Trail King, with almost 400 North American dealer locations, is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Its products are also sold globally.
