Trucking industry image group Trucking Moves America Forward this week recognized a number of industry organizations and companies that have given back to their local communities during the holiday season.

Kevin Burch, co-chairman of TMAF and president of Jet Express, says it’s important for the group to recognize those in the trucking industry “who are not only delivering our special holiday moments, but who are giving back to their communities.”

“Whether it is through charitable donations, delivering the goods that make a family’s holiday special, or helping communities prepare for severe weather challenges, trucking keeps America moving forward during the winter season,” Burch says.

Among the companies and organizations recognized were:

  • Advantage Trucking Group: The Shrewsbury, Massachusetts-based company hosted their annual Haulin’ 4 Hunger program, delivering nearly 3,000 fresh meals to six food pantry organizations in central Massachusetts.
  • American Trucking Associations: Drivers from member companies led the Wreaths Across America convoy from Bangor, Maine, to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. ATA’s Workforce Heroes truck led the convoy.
  • Big G Express: The fleet raised $1,600 for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program in Bedford County, Tennessee.
  • CFI: The Joplin, Missouri-based fleet raised over $41,000 in donations and supported 19 charities across eight cities as part of their 26th annual Truckloads of Treasures holiday giving campaign.
  • Keller Logistics Group: The company raised $273,159 and honored 524 hardship requests through their Keller Assists Veterans in Crisis program, which helps local military personnel and veterans.
  • Minnesota Trucking Association: The group raised $37,173 and donated 3,048 toys to over 20 charities across Minnesota as a result of their annual Trucks & Toys program.
