Truckloads opens up carrier visibility to brokers

The creators of Trucker Path, a trip planning app for truck drivers, announced that its Truckloads freight marketplace added a truck-search feature for its users to find available carriers. Brokers that post freight on the Truckloads platform can now search for verified carriers who could be a match to haul a load based on location, equipment type and the carrier’s safety rating.

Using the feature, brokerages can also contact available carriers among Truckloads users directly.

“Our broker clients have asked for a feature that allows them to find capacity faster and in turn move more freight,” said Trucker Path Sales VP Leigh Foxall. “Enabling Truck Search provides our users a streamlined way to connect with carriers immediately in a way that other load boards simply cannot offer.”

The initial launch of the feature included 5,000 carriers who are qualified, available and visible to connect with, the company said. Trucker Path Content and Social Media Manager Matt Dziak added that “carriers that have signed up with Trucker Path have agreed to the terms of service and are, therefore, ‘visible’ to brokers. However, they can always opt out at any time. The feature will allow interaction from brokers to interested carriers.”

Additional carriers will be added to search results as the feature rolls out to more users across the Trucker Path Truckloads platform.
