Drivers traveling along U.S. 41 in Kentucky can expect delays during the next two weeks as a daytime lane restriction will be in place on the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges between Henderson, Ky., and Evansville, Ind.

Work will begin on the southbound bridge on Tuesday, Dec. 13, and likely continue through Friday, Dec. 16. The northbound bridge will be worked on from Monday, Dec. 19, through Friday, Dec. 23. The bridges will be closed to one lane between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Central time while the work is being done. The bridges are located at mile marker 19.6, about a mile south of the Kentucky-Indiana state line.

During the restricted hours, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be surveying the bridge structure in preparation for installing new solar-powered navigation lights on the bridges. The contractor is expected to return in February to install the lights.
