Freightliner unveiled North America’s first state-licensed autonomous truck earlier this month at a press event in Las Vegas. I had the chance, along with Overdrive Equipment Editor Jack Roberts, to ride in the truck, the Inspiration, last week following the truck’s debut.

Operating the truck we rode in was Freightliner engineer Jim Martin, who took us for a few miles up and down Interstate 15 outside of Las Vegas to show us how the truck’s autonomous features work.

The video above was shot during our time with the truck and with Martin.
