Walcott Truckers Jamboree celebrates 40th anniversary this week

Two 100-year-old trucks will be on display and honored as part of the 40th anniversary Walcott Truckers Jamboree this week at the Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa.

The 2019 Jamboree will be held July 11-13 and will celebrate the 100th birthdays of a 1919 International and a 1919 Pierce Arrow. The show will also feature the Super Truck Beauty Contest, an antique trick display, live music, an Iowa pork chop cookout, over 150 exhibits, Trucker Olympics, games, two fireworks displays and more.

On Thursday, July 11, attendees can hear a performance by up-and-coming country music group, the Davisson Brothers Band. There will also be a performance by local favorite Dani Lynn Howe and Band, followed by fireworks and a lights show.

On Friday, July 12, there will be a pet contest and music from Lindsay Lawler and Natalie Stovall, followed by Sawyer Brown. Fireworks will cap off the evening.

Finally, on the last day of the show, The Kentucky Headhunters will perform.

Admission and parking for the event and all concerts is free. Shuttles will be provided from the parking area to the event grounds.
