Iowa 80 Truckstop in Walcott, Iowa, will host the 38th annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree next week, July 13-15. The event will feature concerts, fireworks, a show truck competition and more.

The annual show is free to attend, and each day will offer plenty of activities to keep attendees busy.

On Thursday, July 13, the show opens at 10 a.m. with exhibits and the Super Truck Beauty Contest Antique Truck Display. There will be a pork chop cookout throughout the day, and Trucker Olympics beginning at 12:30 p.m. Local artist Dani Lynn Howe & Band will open at 5:30 p.m. for former “The Voice” contestant Mary Sarah, who is scheduled to go on at 7 p.m. A fireworks display will be held at 9 p.m.

The next day, the schedule is similar, with the addition of a 100th birthday party for a 1917 Velie truck at 2:30 p.m. at the Iowa 80 Trucking Museum. The Friday night concert will feature trucker and recording artist Tony Justice opening at 5 p.m. for country artist Collin Raye, who’s set to take the stage at 7 p.m. Fireworks will be held following the concert.

The show closes Saturday with the Super Truck Beauty Contest awards presentation at 3 p.m.
