Work starts on I-15 in Utah

Updated May 27, 2010

Drivers should be alert to narrowed lanes and shoulders, reduced speeds and lane shifts along 24 miles of I-15 in Utah where construction has started, the Utah Department of Transportation announced. Work will go on day and night in an effort to complete the construction by December 2012, the department said.

Other construction projects along Utah’s section of I-15  are in Clearfield and South Layton from Bountiful to Farmingiton, in North Salt Lake through Pioneer Crossing at American Fork and from Spanish Fork to Santaquin, state DOT officials said.

To stay informed of intermittent bridge, ramp and lane closings, drivers can sign up for Trucker’s Concierge, a free email construction update at [email protected], or go to www.itruck.utah.gov for an interactive map with construction updates, or visit www.udot.utah.gov/i15core.
