Awesome bull hauler: An Iowa Pete truck show winner

| May 09, 2012

Peterbilt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, hosted a truck beauty competition and show this past Saturday, May 5, that attracted more than 40 entrants. Pictured here (beauty shot below) is the “hot lime-green” 2000 Peterbilt 379 bull hauler that garnered the most votes from the judges (the entrants themselves) for Best in Show, along with staff members of Buhr Trucking, the rig’s owner (pictured left to right: Kevin Whitla, Travis Buhr, Atley Buhr, Darylee Gómez and Logan Kebler.

The 379 also took home Best Paint, Best Interior and People’s Choice awards.

Wiley Anderson of Mead, Neb., took home a First Place trophy in the category Best Truck/Trailer Combo with his blue 2006 Pete Model 379 and shiny livestock trailer. Peterbilt of Council Bluffs hopes to make the show an annual event. Keep an eye on their site for next year’s plans. Now for that beauty shot:
