Bridgestone introduces three new mixed-service tires

Bridgestone has introduced two new truck tires and a wide-based trailer tire, the company announced Aug. 26 at the Great American Trucking Show in Dallas.

The M799 mixed-service drive tire’s primary use is on-highway service, but the tire can be used for occasional gravel applications.

The tire has an all-steel casing for durability and retreadability, and it comes with a stone-rejecting platform to prevent rocks from being trapped in the tread and drilling into belts. The tire’s thick ribs help protect casings from cuts and abrasions. It’s available in sizes 11R22.5, 11R24.5 and 12R22.5.

The M770 on-highway drive-axle radial has a groove and block shape to fight lug base cracking and tearing, and for retreadability, it offers a stone-rejecting platform in all grooves to prevent stone trapping. It’s available in sizes 295/75R22.5 now, but will be offered in sizes 285/75R24.5, 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 starting next year.

The Greatec R125A wide-based trailer radial is equipped with a belt system designed to maintain casing shape. Its wide belt is made to fight irregular wear, and the Waved Belt design holds the tread flat against the road. The tire also features the company’s Equalizer Rib and Defense Groove designs to fight irregular wear.
