On its website and Facebook page, broker Trinity Transport is seeking nominations for a competition for best truck driver held in conjunction with National Truck Driver Appreciation week, “dedicated to those who spend their days away from home to make it possible for others to live comfortably,” as their site notes. A good description of the driver’s job, and a fair one.

First, Second and Third spots in the contest receive $1,000, $100 and $25, respectively. You can nominate yourself or a colleague by submitting video, still images and/or written testimony, primarily geared toward answering the question of why you are or the nominee is the nation’s best truck driver. Entries will be judged on creativity, personality and, ultimately, substance.
