Overdrive Senior Editor Todd Dills is once again a finalist in the Jesse H. Neal editorial awards program, this year in two categories: Best Subject-Related Series of Articles and Best Range of Work.

Dills’ seven-month “CSA’s Fallout” collection of articles is entered in the series category. The investigation examined how the federal Compliance, Safety, Accountability motor carrier safety rating system has affected the trucking industry.

The stories were based on proprietary research with Overdrive’s sister RigDig Business Intelligence unit, a division of Randall-Reilly subsidiary EDA. Marlin Caddell contributed to the project by building an interactive database for readers.

Dills received the Grand Neal Award last year for his 2013 work on CSA. The award represents the single highest honor in business-to-business journalism.

Dills’ wide body of writing, podcasting and video this year earned the finalist spot for Best Range of work.

The most prestigious editorial honors in the field of specialized journalism, the Jesse H. Neal Awards will be presented March 27 in New York City.
