Chattanooga, Tennessee-based U.S. Xpress this month will launch a new driver training program, transitioning from a traditional classroom-style program to a multi-platform program.

The company’s new Driver Development Program was designed with input from truck drivers to give trainees the knowledge, skills and abilities the industry requires, the company says.

The program will include training using driver simulator programs, which integrate with current industry technology; training videos; ELD practice and device training; and more.

The program is launching along with the ribbon-cutting of a new U.S. Xpress training facility in Tunnel Hill, Georgia, on Feb. 19.
