The partners behind the ChampTruck World Series Class 8 truck racing series, slated to start with an April 17-19 event at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2015, announced the Fleet Participation Program at the Great American Trucking Show.

The program “is actually an exchange program,” said ChampTruck’s John Condren, where fleets can donate their “low or zero-asset-value trucks” that have “been paid for time and again.” Utilizing investments the ChampTruck executive directors, among them Class 8 truck racer and pioneer in the U.S., Mike Ryan, as well as Condren, have made to jumpstarting the series, “we’re taking these and turning them into million-dollar brand-marketing tools,” he said.

“What we’re offering to the fleets will not cost them a dime,” he added. “Companies will provide ChampTruck World Series some of these trucks, and we’ll build each one into a fully prepared race truck. One of them we’ll give back to the fleet. What the fleet does is they can take that truck … and they can use it for publicity or, who knows, they may want to race it” in the series.

The race driver, Condren adds, could be a driver from the fleet, “an executive, they may want to bring in a celebrity.” The possibilities are numerous.

Progress on ChampTruck’s launch next year has been great since the series announced preparations for the 2015 launch at the Great American Trucking Show in 2013.

With 10 tracks already confirmed, they’re in for an exciting year. Take a brief video tour through the specs of what ChampTruck stock racing trucks will be. Visit http://ChampTruck.us.com for more.
