Con-way re-opens Phoenix orientation site

Con-way Truckload has re-opened its sixth driver orientation site in Phoenix at the Premier Inns, the Joplin, Mo.-based carrier announced.
Plans include hiring 30 to 50 experienced professional truck drivers from several Western states, including Arizona, Nevada, California, New Mexico and Colorado per month.
Every new Con-way Truckload driver must attend a five-day orientation program, complete required paper work and road test, learn about policies and procedures and take the Department of Transportation-mandated physical exam, among other activities.
