The new TV series iCool Tools, Thursday nights on the DIY Network, is aimed at homeowners and not the maintainers of Class 8 trucks, but any do-it-yourselfer will enjoy learning about Thomas’ Liquid Stainless Steel; or Mechanix Glove Lights, with a built-in LED flashlight on the back of each glove; or the Bootie Butler, which automatically wraps your dirty shoe in plastic with one stomp, so that you won’t track up your house (or, if you’re really fastidious, your shop). Host Chris Grundy needs to chill, though.
