Diesel price drops 0.7 cent

For the first time in six weeks, the national average retail price of a gallon of diesel fell this week. The price dropped 0.7 cents to $2.939, according to the Department of Energy.

Diesel’s price is 71.8 cents higher than a year ago.

All regions reported slightly lower prices except Rocky Mountain and California, which had modest increases. The West Coast was unchanged from the previous week.
