FMCSA plans sessions on hours rule, CSA

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration will present several educational sessions at the trucking show in Louisville, Ky., March 22-24.

Information about the new hours of service rules will be offered Thursday, March 22, at 2 p.m. and again Friday, March 23, at noon.

An update on FMCSA’s Compliance, Safety, Accountability is scheduled for March 22 at 3 p.m. and repeated March 23 at 10 a.m.

Top 10 Things to Know About a Roadside Inspection will be presented March 22 at 4 p.m. and March 23 at 2 p.m. A Kansas State Patrol commercial vehicle enforcement officer will discuss roadside inspections Saturday, March 24, at 9 a.m.

FMCSA will present a session on medical qualifications for drivers March 22 and 23 at 1 p.m.

FMCSA Administrator Anne Ferro will talk about “Drivers Make a Difference” March 23 at 11 a.m.

Seminars are free and tentatively scheduled for the Kentucky Exposition Center South Wing Conference Center Room B104. No advance registration is required.

FMCSA also plans to host a listening session on electronic onboard recorders and driver harassment. That session is scheduled for March 23 from 10 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. in the South Wing Conference Room C101.
