Heartland Express company driver Brian L. Romig’s winning photo, part of Truckers News’ October “Trucking Portraits” contest hosted via the magazine’s Flickr.com photo sharing group, perfectly suited the subject matter, Romig says. “I was on the Ohio Turnpike,” in the final western service plaza before Indiana on the dark day in question. “It was pouring rain and I had a 10-hour wait for the load to be ready.”
Romig takes home a copy of Jon Canfield’s “Camera Raw 101” guide to digital picture aftertreatment, and his winning photo will be published in the December issue of Truckers News.
