Decker names drivers of the month
Decker Truck Line announced its drivers of the month for December 2009. Ray Albright was named flatbed driver of the month, and Robert Peterson was named driver of the month for the reefer-van division.
Decker also recently recognized two drivers on the company’s Million Mile Team for achieving an additional million miles on their safety records. Benjamin McIntyre of Oquawka, Iowa, was recognized for achieving 2 million miles, and John Pallos of Fort Dodge, Iowa, was recognized for achieving 3 million miles. The company’s Million Mile Team currently has 99 active members.
Decker also received the 2009 Iowa Freedom Award for large employers.
Schneider driver logs 4 million miles
Schneider National driver Bob Wyatt of Springfield, Ill., joins one of few drivers in the company’s 75-year history to achieve the 4-million safe mile mark. Wyatt’s 36-year career driving for Schneider has resulted in zero accidents.
